Impressive new low-fusing ceramics and internal stains for micro-layering

Thanks to these highly aesthetic ceramic materials, creating indirect restorations no longer always requires designing high-strength frameworks and applying multiple ceramic layers. Advances in zirconia and lithium disilicate (LiDiSi) technology now allow restorations to be made monolithically or with minimal reduction. With the right materials, micro-layering techniques can achieve top-tier esthetics even under the highest standards.

To meet this need, Kuraray Noritake Dental Inc. has developed the CERABIEN™ MiLai system. This compact range of low-fusing ceramics and internal stains enables efficient, cost-effective finishing processes that deliver outstanding esthetic results even on the first try.

The CERABIEN™ MiLai system includes 16 base shades and 15 internal stains, which are easy to select, handle, and mix to achieve additional shade effects. With a low firing temperature of 770 °C, it is compatible not only with zirconia but also with silicate ceramics (e.g., IPS e.max), reducing the need for multiple ceramic layers, streamlining inventory, and simplifying decision-making. 

Like all Kuraray Noritake Dental Inc. ceramics, CERABIEN™ MiLai is based on a synthetic feldspar technology that ensures durable handling and predictable outcomes. Its material structure and particle distribution resemble that of natural teeth, and its properties remain stable after multiple firings—offering consistent results that dental technicians expect. The shades also fluoresce, further enhancing the lifelike appearance of restorations.
